We are hot off the heels of E3 with Bethesda announcing three Virtual-Reality games. We got confirmation of Doom & Skyrim both heading to PSVR, along with the announcement of Doom & Fallout 4 heading to the HTC Vive. It is known that Skyrim will be making it’s way to the HTC Vive after a year of exclusively somewhere later in 2018. This leaves one question? Does this mean Fallout 4 is headed to the PSVR in a similar deal? Let’s find out.
- Bethesda tweeted out a few days after it’s E3 conference, that it’s working to support as many platforms as they can with both Fallout 4 and Skyrim VR. You can find the tweet here or see it below:
- Amazon Italy recently posted a listing for Fallout 4 VR for PlayStation VR, with a release date for 2017. Let’s just be honest with ourselves, Amazon Italy has leaked a many of titles before the official announcement. You can find the listing here or see it below:
- A popular Australian retailer, JB Hi-Fi, also posted a listing for Fallout 4 VR for the PlayStation VR, with a release date of 2017. It has since been removed, but you can see the listing below:
This leaves the question, is there enough evidence to suspect that Fallout 4 will be coming to PSVR? I personally believe that Bethesda is currently working on brining it to the PSVR. Does it mean it will release in 2017? I don’t necessarily think it will, despite both retailers listing a 2017 date. I don’t think Bethesda would want both Skyrim and Fallout competing for the spotlight this fall for PSVR. I would assume we will receive a 2018 date, with an announcement at Gamescom or PSX later this year; however, I would love to be wrong and have it come this fall for PSVR as I’m a huge Fallout guy.
I’ll continue to update this article as more information comes in so keep your eyes peeled and let me know if you find any further evidence of it coming!
