Welcome to the second “review” in our “Quick Take” series! Yes, we finally have an official name for it! Just wanted to update everyone, enjoy the review below!
Are you a fan of walking simulators with a beautiful narrative & soundtrack? If so, then Reaching For Petals might just be a game for you. Reaching For Petals is a poetic adventure about love, loss, and ambition. You will travel to the peak of the ever-reaching mountain to uncover the true nature of your mysterious and seemingly unguided journey.
Gameplay? Well there is plenty of walking, but it doesn’t overstay it’s welcome. Also, there are memories where you will make choices that craft your own story at the end of each chapter.
The narrator along with the musical score is what kept me peeled to this game. Between the poetic words flowing from the narrator while traversing the landscape and the musical score making me feel like my entire journey was a movie, I couldn’t stop playing.
I don’t want to go into too much detail about the story as it is a short experience that is reasonably priced so if you are a fan of typical walking simulator games then go give it a try. It’s currently only out for PC, but it will be making it’s way to consoles soon! Also, don’t forget to check out our lets play series up on YouTube if you are still on the fence.
