The HTC Vive VR Headset finally has a release window and price point. The VR Headset will ship in April and will set you back $800. The $800 price point sets it $200 more than Oculus Rift, which is launching at $600 and arriving at the end of March. Pre-orders for the Vive will start at 7 AM PST, on February 29th.
The Vive Consumer Edition will include the Vive VR Headset, two wireless controllers, two “base stations”, a link box and a pair of Vive earbuds. The Vive will ship with Job Simulator and Fantastic Contraption free of charge.
Is the HTC Vive VR and other VR headsets too expensive? Are you interested in either VR headset? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
