Todd Howard, of Bethesda Studios, will be awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s Game Developers Choice Awards. Howard is the game director and executive producer at Bethesda Studios and is responsible for the great game series, The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.
The reason for receiving this award is due to Howard “pioneering open world gameplay” and ” his indelible contributions to the world of gaming”. GDC events manager, Meggan Scavio stated that “this award reflects on the amazing craft of Todd Howard and his team”.
Todd Howard is responsible for creating my favorite game franchise of all time, The Elder Scrolls. Howard is well deserving of this award and has worked hard for 22 years. Anytime Howard walks onto the stage at pressers, or gets interviewed, I’m always all ears, waiting for what he has to say. He’s such an interesting person, and his intelligence shows. So, I personally wanted to tell Todd Howard congratulations. I couldn’t think of anyone else more deserving than you! Enjoy it, and thank you for everything you’ve done for video games, and me!
